A Framer alternative: no export, and we can still move your site
Your Framer site looks great. Leaving is the hard part: Framer doesn't offer HTML export for self-hosting, and the usual advice is to build it again. We start from your published site, so we don't need an export.
Three ways out of Framer
Build it again
Reliable, but you're paying for a design you already have. And someone has to move the content by hand.
A third-party plugin
The marketplace has unofficial plugins that download code or a static copy. Useful as a backup. They won't add an admin or forms in a system, though. And check their license and data handling yourself.
Move to SQRL
We go through the site and rebuild it 1:1 from blocks. Seeding, which fills the site with data automatically, adds the text and images. You get a finished site with an admin.
What you get beyond a static copy
A copy of a page looks fine until the first change. Then you need a developer. Moving to SQRL adds what a static copy can't do:
- Edit text and images right on the page
- Forms store messages in the admin
- CMS content lives in items with fields and filters
- Run the site through AI and MCP, the connection between AI and your website
What turns into what
| In SQRL | |
|---|---|
| Pages and components | Blocks in the site's theme |
| CMS collections | Content types with declared fields |
| Forms | Form builder |
| Localization | Language versions in the core |
| Framer hosting | Ours, yours, or a regular provider |
When to stay on Framer
A few pages, a focus on design, and content that rarely changes. Framer is excellent at that.
If Framer is their everyday tool, moving won't make their job easier.
Then there's no reason to change anything.
FAQ
Simple ones do. We handle more complex animations case by case and tell you up front.
We only move a website with its owner's consent.
The step-by-step process is on the Migrate to SQRL page.
Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings. Whatever can stay at the same address does, and the rest gets a 301, a permanent redirect.

A good-looking website shouldn't have to be built twice.
